Morphettville Racecourse Redevelopment

The SAJC is seeking a partner to create an innovative, sustainable, integrated, and connected residential and mixed-use development at Morphettville Racecourse.

Introduction

The South Australian Jockey Club (SAJC) is a membership-based, not-for-profit thoroughbred horse racing club that operates as an Unincorporated Entity. It owns and manages Morphettville Racecourse in Adelaide, South Australia.

SAJC has been developing a Concept Master Plan to unlock the value in its Morphettville site to enable significant reinvestment in its facilities for the benefit of members, the racing industry, the community and the State.

The Concept Master Plan envisages redevelopment of up to 10 hectares of re-zoned land for medium-density residential, retail, hospitality and commercial use.

SAJC now invites proponents or consortia (Respondents) to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) to partner with the club to deliver this redevelopment.

SAJC has a strong desire to work with a development partner for the life of the project; an organisation that will share the vision, manage the build and deliver on the sales and marketing.

The club also encourages Respondents to view the Concept Master Plan as a flexible document to be developed and refined in partnership.
